Creamy Broccoli Pasta

INGREDIENTS:

For Pasta
- 50g Crave Green Chickpea Pasta
- 1L Water
- A generous amount of salt

For Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Broccoli
- 1 1/4 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 1/2 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
- 1/2 onion
- 1/4 tbsp Oil
- 3-4 Cloves of Garlic

For Seasoning (To Taste)
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- Chilli Flakes
- Oregano
STEPS TO PREPARE PASTA:
- Boil 50gm Chickpea Pasta in boiling water for 4-5 mins. After 5 minutes add chopped broccoli to the same boiling water to boil it.
- Meanwhile, heat some oil in a pan and fry garlic along with onion (till its golden brown) and keep it aside.
- In the same pan, heat some oil, and add the flour. Keep whisking it till its slightly golden.
- Pour in the milk slowly, keep whisking regularly to avoid lumps.
- Once the milk and flour combine together and start looking creamy, add nutritional yeast, salt, pepper, and earlier fried garlic and onion. Mix well.
- Once the sauce is ready, add boiled pasta and broccoli.
- Serve it hot, garnished with chili flakes, oregano or fresh herbs like parsley or basil, if desired.
