Creamy Broccoli Pasta


Serving size: 1 Person

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • For Pasta
  • For Sauce
    • 1/2 Cup Broccoli
    • 1 1/4 tbsp all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 Cup Milk
    • 1/2 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
    • 1/2 onion
    • 1/4 tbsp Oil
    • 3-4 Cloves of Garlic
  • For Seasoning (To Taste)
    • Salt
    • Black Pepper
    • Chilli Flakes
    • Oregano

 

STEPS TO PREPARE PASTA:

 

  1. Boil 50gm Chickpea Pasta in boiling water for 4-5 mins. After 5 minutes add chopped broccoli to the same boiling water to boil it.
  2. Meanwhile, heat some oil in a pan and fry garlic along with onion (till its golden brown) and keep it aside.
  3. In the same pan, heat some oil, and add the flour. Keep whisking it till its slightly golden.
  4. Pour in the milk slowly, keep whisking regularly to avoid lumps.
  5. Once the milk and flour combine together and start looking creamy, add nutritional yeast, salt, pepper, and earlier fried garlic and onion. Mix well.
  6. Once the sauce is ready, add boiled pasta and broccoli.
  7. Serve it hot, garnished with chili flakes, oregano or fresh herbs like parsley or basil, if desired.
